How to Create a Home Splash Pad
If you’re looking to find a way for you and your family to beat the heat this summer, adding a splash pad in your backyard is the way to go. Before you start thinking that this is going to require complex piping work, understand that it’s not. However, there are going to be a few steps you are going to need to follow in order to accomplish it.
Materials You Need for a Splash Pad
Before you can start on the actual building process, you’re going to need a few things. First, start by purchasing a tarp. Purchase a size that you believe is going to be large enough for your particular use. Next, buy the number of pool noodles that you want to have installed. Last on the list is a sewing machine for the actual construction.
Time to Build Your Pad
The sewing machine is used to create a seam around the tarpaulin’s edges, which should be just big enough to fit the pool noodles through (however many you’ve purchased). Now, if you’re worried about the sewing process, you don’t necessarily need to sew the edges. However, it helps as water can easily start coming out of the splash pad or if your kids (if they are on the younger side) begin to pull out the seams on their own.
Note that you should also choose a spot in your yard that won’t cut into the tarp. If you cannot find one, you may seek the services of a company that does landscape design in Las Vegas to ensure that your splash pad has enough clear space to function properly.
